Inspect the multiplier pockets before dropping a ball. Their values depend on the chosen board configuration; a different risk setting can make the middle and edge pockets pay very differently. The picture of a ball passing near one pocket does not establish the result of the next drop.
What to check
If you launch several balls quickly, compare the accepted stake per ball with the number of launches. The animation may still be playing while further rounds have already been accepted. Use the round history to reconcile results rather than estimating them from the moving balls.
